POINTS SYSTEM
To collect points for the South Florida Pole Vault Tour, athletes must email sfpvtour@gmail.com to register.
Please include the following:
FIRST AND LAST NAME
MALE OR FEMALE
DATE OF BIRTH
TEAM/ORGANIZATION
Athletes can register independently or team leaders can register their whole team in one message.
Athletes can only receive points from a meet if they are registered for the tour before the start of that meet. If an athlete signs up for a meet but not registered for the sfpvtour, they are not eligible for tour points.
Athletes can sign up for meets, and the tour, at any time. The meets are paid services, but the tour points system is free to register. The first athlete who is registered for the tour at each meet will receive 10 points (in their sex and age division) and so on.
INDIVIDUAL
Athletes will be competing against others of the same sex and age group. Age groups are as follows:
Youth (6-14)
High School (14-18)
Open (18+)
This will create 6 distinct divisions
Points will be awarded like a typical meet:
1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 8 points
3rd place: 6 points
4th place: 5 points
5th place: 4 points
6th place: 3 points
7th place: 2 points
8th place: 1 point
Team scores are simply an addition of all individual points collected from all 6 divisions
